Toastmasters and Leadership
Wednesday April 04, 2018

Toastmasters and Leadership go hand in hand.  At Toastmasters the organizational leadership has crafted a host of training, leadership, and communication materials for members to use and grow with!

At the Clovis Speech Masters we get opportunities to both lead and serve the Club, its members, and the community.

We meet most Tuesdays at noon near the Fresno/Clovis border at Seven Cafe and Grill.

“Companies and their investors should put more into evaluating the interpersonal strengths of potential leaders.”

Some of the tips form Toastmasters include ways to discover your strengths and weaknesses in ways that can help you gain the trust of others and increase your credibility as a leader.

Here are a few things to keep in mind to become more self-aware:

  • Don’t rely on old strengths
  • Get feedback
  • Ask good questions
  • Listen without justifying your actions

Get Evaluated

A 360-degree evaluation is an assessment tool that provides employees with the opportunity to receive performance feedback from supervisors, peers, co-workers and also external parties such as suppliers and customers. The 360-degree evaluation process also enables organizations to gain insight into the performance and potential of future leaders, and to determine the development needs of employees.
