My article was about fuel being the real cause of the devastating effect of current wild fires.  We are paying the price of faulty forest management.  The breakdown occurred in the late 70's and early 80's when the Forest Service caved to the alleged harm to the habitat of the Spotted Owl.  The result was the halt of timber sales which also involved both the end of thinning and clearing of the forests as well as control burns and also the departing from the Forest Service of Rangers, who knew how to manage forests.

Caglia Environmental’s mission is to preserve and protect the environment through the use of advanced recycling technologies and state-of-the-art disposal facilities. As a member of the greater Fresno-Clovis community, we are active supporters of local philanthropic organizations, like Rotary, a tradition established by our founder, the late Frank S. Caglia, over 80 years ago.

I support rotary because it is a way to become better involved with fellow business leaders and my community.

The Food Security Project was created in August 2014, and officially launched in November 2014, to find ways to support our current Fresno State students experiencing food insecurity or other challenges. Fresno State Public Health faculty member, Alida Espinoza, conducted research through her masters thesis about food insecurity at Fresno State.

North Fresno Rotary (NFR) is proud to present the results of our 13 volunteers--11 Rotarians plus two local artists--worked on this project to place 3 Little Free Libraries around Fresno to promote literacy.
