I am a educational technology geek and fitness enthusiast whose goals is to combine the two with as few typos as possible. I typically fail on the typos... but I am trying. My website is, as always in a state of flux and I would have it no other way because to me it means that I am constantly pursuing my believes in education and fitness. Constantly moving, constantly changing, constantly growing. I'd have it no other way.
My life focus rests in Instructional Design and Technology (IDT), health and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). I have earned a Computer Science Bachelor Degree and am in the process of completing a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction at CSU Fresno and with a possible Ed D down the road. I enjoy teaching very, very much and often find myself seeking positions, hobbies or activities that involve teaching or coaching.
I am also very interested in social networking for the greater good of mankind, so to speak. Teachers, coaches, community groups and individuals who love education and healthy lifestyles are the types of people that I would like to network with, share ideas with and struggle with to met the endless needs of children, students, teachers and community groups.
Contact me if you need help with your educational and fitness goals. If I can help. I will. If I can't, maybe I know someone who can. Together we can try and together we can.
My Current Projects
- I am currently working on charter school research and technology integration into the classroom. Recently our charter school was awarded $10,000 dollars for more research and startup costs.
- I recently won the James Schultz 2009 Scholarship for new teachers. I am adding educational material to my website, www.thebulldogsolution.com and work creating material for technology workshops on the weekend.
- www.theBulldogSolution.com - is IDT website. Here you'll find a host of educational blogs, articles, and events. Since I'm a CSU Fresno Bulldog, most of the events and blogs are related to activites and topics at CSU Fresno.
- www.myFresnoFitness.com - My fitness website. This site promotes healthy lifestyles in and around the Fresno Valley. We are looking to create fitness groups that hang out in and out of the gyms in Fresno.
- Fresno State Centennial Celebration - I am working with the Fresno State Centennial Team to promote Fresno State's 100th birthday in 2011. Projects include floats, tailgates, swag and more. Check out www.fresnostate100.org for more details. My portion will include helping plan and promote the events via social media. The committee will plan and execute events for alumni and the community to celebrate the university's past and showcase accomplishments. Historical information will be presented for current and former students, faculty, staff and community members will be compiled into a Centennial book.
My Past Projects:
- 2005-2006 Microsoft Student Ambassador - The Microsoft Student Ambassador (MSA) program was created to engaged college students who are studying computer science and computer engineering.
- 2005-2006 CSU Fresno Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) - The ACM at CSU Fresno is a student organization helps students learn and talk about computers, programming languages and all things nerdy.
